*Brandon Woodard, Would-Be Rapper from L.A., Murdered in Daylight 'Hit' in NYC.

The getaway car believed to have been used in the “hit”-style murder of Angeleno Brandon Woodard in the middle of Manhattan has been found in Queens, New York, a New York police official confirmed to the Weekly.

The official indicated that a search warrant was being requested so the car could be scoured for possible evidence.

The find was also announced today …

… by New York Police Department Commissioner Raymond Kelly.

Meanwhile the Los Angeles Times reports that NYPD detectives had come to town as part of the department's homicide investigation.

The official we spoke to couldn't confirm that but said a trip to L.A. was likely given the high-profile nature of the case.

Woodard was gunned down on a Midtown sidewalk, apparently with one bullet to the back of the head, Monday afternoon.

He's a law school student who lived in Playa Vista. His family — his father's a retired lawyer — is successful, though reports indicate Woodard had more than a few run-ins with the law.

The gunman is seen coolly walking to an awaiting Lincoln MKZ sedan, indicating a professional-style hit.
