36-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision near Northern Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (December 12, 2022)Sunday evening, Brandon Lee Goldtooth was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 17. The incident happened on November 27th, at around 7:45 p.m., near Northern Avenue. At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that first responders located a man lying on the road upon arrival. Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck a man in the area. Due to the extent of his condition, medical personnel pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased victim as 36-year-old Goldtooth, of Tuba City. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. No further details are available regarding the pedestrian crash, but more information will be updated once it becomes available.
