You guys, it's finally happening. The long-awaited value offshoot of Whole Foods — officially known as 365 by Whole Foods Market — will be opening on the corner of Glendale and Fletcher avenues in Silver Lake on May 25.

In case you're not completely caught up on Silver Lake's impending Whole Foods invasion, the former Ralph's location will be the first location of Whole Foods' new nationwide concept, which will, for the most part, feature proprietary house brand “365 by Whole Foods” products as a (slightly) cheaper alternative to the usual array of Whole Foods' name-brand organics.

But if you're assuming that means the store is forgoing its usual bells and whistles, think again — the new Silver Lake location will be outfitted with lots of #millennialbait features to enhance (and up-sell) the traditional trip to the grocery store.

There will be a bar serving craft beers and coffee drinks from Colorado's Allegro Coffee Company; something called teaBOT, an automated kiosk that will allow customers to make customized tea/herbal blends; and an in-house vegan restaurant, an L.A. outlet of New York City–based By Chloe, which will serve quinoa tacos, black bean guacamole burgers and whiskey BBQ sandwiches made with smoked portobello mushroom. And if you're too lazy to actually shop at the store itself, you can order through Instacart (same as with other Whole Foods locations).

Whole Foods has received no shortage of flak over the years for its rich-people reputation, but 365's main goal is to create what the company call a “quality-meets-value shopping experience.” Will that be enough to attract young shoppers who aren't too fond of the nightmare that is the Trader Joe's parking lot? We'll find out in May.
