The Mighty, a boy's adventure story for everyone, opens with Cincinnati smokestacks, then sweeps us smartly into Arthurian legend. It's no stretch, for right from the word go British director Peter Chelsom, who made the popular Hear My Song and the highly regarded Funny Bones, works a nifty Junior-Gothic magic that fuses two worlds, converting a grimy working-class neighborhood into a shining playground for the feverish imaginations of its two outcast protagonists.
