8-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Collision on Power Inn Road

SACRAMENTO, CA (December 16, 2021) – Saturday, a young boy was killed and Sonia Mata was hurt in a multi-car crash on Calvine Road.

The accident occurred on December 11, at the intersection of Calvine Road and Power Inn Road.

According to reports, three vehicles were involved in the accident. However, the collision occurred under unclear circumstances.

Officers located the family of 46-year-old Sonia Mata and her two sons, with serious injuries. One boy was 8-years-old, and the other was 13-years-old.

Medics transported Mata and the 13-year-old boy to a hospital for further treatment. Due to the impact of the collision, the 8-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the Sacramento authorities continue to determine the cause of the fatal collision.
