8-Year-Old Child Hurt in Traffic Accident on Cedarwood Drive
PASO ROBLES, CA (July 11, 2023) – Sunday evening, a scooter crash on Teak Drive left one child with injuries. The incident happened on June 18th, at around 6:15 p.m., involving a self-propelled scooter operated by an 8-year-old and a vehicle. Upon investigation, the officers determined that the child was crossing the street and was not looking at the lanes. A vehicle headed westbound on Cedarwood Drive was unable to maneuver out of the child’s path and struck him. As a result, the child suffered moderate injuries and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Afterward, the Paso Robles Police Department ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the incident.
