Young Boy Hurt in Pedestrian Collision near Earl Warren Junior High School

BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 29, 2021) – Friday morning, a 13-year-old boy was struck and injured in a hit-and-run crash on Mountain Vista Drive.

Officers were called to the scene near Earl Warren Junior High School around 8:15 a.m. Per reports, a vehicle had struck a young boy and fled the scene.

Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored Ford Flex, possibly driven by a man.

Moreover, the boy suffered moderate injuries, and is expected to survive. However, his name has not yet been released.

The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened.

No further details have been provided regarding the hit-and-run on Mountain Vista Drive.

Police encourage those with information to contact their office immediately, as the suspect is still at large.
