Male Teen Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision on Martin Luther King Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 28, 2021) – Thursday, a boy and his dog died following a pedestrian crash on Helen Avenue.

The collision took place near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Helen Avenue, as per the report.

According to investigations, the child and his dog were walking outside of a crosswalk on MLK Boulevard. There, the driver of a northbound silver van hit them.

Due to the impact of the collision, emergency paramedics declared the dog dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the teen boy was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition. However, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The van’s driver remained at the site and cooperated with the police. Investigators do not believe that speed or impairment had a role in the incident.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
