14-Year-Old Boy Dead after Rollover Collision near Nevada Avenue

KINGS COUNTY, CA (February 24, 2022) – Sunday morning, a 14-year-old boy was ejected and killed in a rollover accident on Highway 43.

The incident took place around 3:30 a.m., along the northbound lanes of the freeway near Nevada Avenue.

For reasons unknown, the driver of a vehicle lost control while driving into a curved way. As a result, the vehicle rolled over several times after drifting into the dirt.

Upon impact, the 14-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle onto the roadway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the boy dead at the scene.

Investigators say the young boy was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. In addition, California Highway Patrol officers confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor in the crash.

Authorities have not yet identified those involved. At this time, an active investigation into the deadly rollover accident on Highway 43 is still underway.
