Bouchon fanatics who can't get enough of Thomas Keller's bread and pastries can cheer up because Bouchon Bakery is set to open August 17th in Beverly Hills. Pastry chef Roy Shvartzapel will be overseeing croissants, pastries, muffins and the bakery's signature Kouign-amman, a doughy cake from Breton with sugar sprinkled between the layers.

Bouchon is also adding a few specialty nights to its calendar, beginning with a monthly Sunday supper.

The first one, which happened yesterday, was very hush-hush and featured a “BBQ American” menu of babyback ribs, pulled pork, sausage, coleslaw, pork and beans, and cornbread ($45/person). Each month's Sunday supper will feature a different theme. In addition, look for a monthly Ad Hoc fried chicken night.
