Boiling Point is coming soon to Valley Blvd.'s Life Plaza Center. The hot pot chain has been aggressively expanding within the past couple of years, with current locations in Arcadia, Hacienda, Monterey Park and Irvine.

The chain, which was started by Rick Chou in 2004, serves up Taiwanese miniature hot pots focused on stinky tofu. Patrons pick the size they want (regular or large) and a broth base like Korean kimchi and lamb hotpot.

The restaurant will be occupying the space of the now-shuttered Cajun Symphony, which closed in April. According to a company representative, the San Gabriel location of Boiling Point is set to soft-launch sometime between the end of June and early July.
