Starting in September, Eataly is launching “A Study of Fire,” a series of pop-up events hosted at Terra, the marketplace’s rooftop restaurant. Three fiery chefs will display their craft in the art of fire-filled dishes.

From barbecue to open-flame cooking, the once-a-month dinner series will kick off on September 22 with Kevin Bludso, followed by Argentinian Chef Norberto Piattoni on October 20, and pop-up pitmaster Rebecca King, owner of The Bad Jew, on November 17

Bludso’s menu will feature his signature tender, smoked meats crusted with a crispy char and grilled seafood alongside botanical Terra-style cocktails and side dishes. Piattoni will demonstrate his unique style of cooking over an open flame featuring local, seasonal meats and produce weaved in with fermented flavors, paired with a South American-inspired specialty cocktail. King’s lineup will feature smoked meats including her specialty pork pastrami from her offset smoker and other signature dishes.

“The Bludso’s family is all about collaboration and inclusivity,” the owner of one of L.A.’s favorite BBQ said in a statement. “We are excited to partner with Terra and Eataly to grow our family and make some new Bludso fans.”
