Motorcyclist Killed in Big-Rig Collision near 680 Freeway

VALLEJO, CA (October 13, 2022) – Thursday morning, 23-year-old Blake Webber was killed in a motorcycle accident on Lake Herman Road.

The fatal collision happened around 11:15 a.m., near 680 Freeway.

Investigators said a speeding Suzuki motorcycle heading eastbound failed to navigate a curve in the roadway and crossed into the westbound lanes.

As a result, the rider collided head-on with a Peterbilt big-rig traveling west on Lake Herman Road.

Due to the impact of the collision, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The rider was later identified as 23-year-old Webber.

Additionally, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
