53-Year-Old Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Limberlost Drive

TUCSON, AZ (May 3, 2022) – Early Saturday night, 53-year-old Blaine Martineau was fatally struck in a motorcycle crash on First Avenue.

According to reports, the collision happened at the intersection of Limberlost Drive and First Avenue around 5:10 p.m.

Police said the collision involved a red 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt and a Blue 2019 Yamaha YZFR3 motorcycle.

Furthermore, investigators revealed that the Chevrolet Cobalt attempted to make a left turn onto southbound First Avenue. There, the Chevy collided with the Yamaha YZFR3 that was traveling northbound on First Avenue.

The rider, identified as 53-year-old Martineau, succumbed to his injuries before arriving to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stopped after the collision and cooperated with officials at the scene. At this time, an active investigation into the fatal motorcycle crash is still currently underway.
