Billy Strings Preps for Tour: Michigan isn’t necessarily known for birthing great bluegrass talent. Blues, punk, R&B, hip-hop, techno – sure. But not the roots, folky, old time country music. Yet Michigan-born (and of course Nashvile-based) Billy Strings picked up the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album, for his Home record, this year.

He celebrated with three livestreamed performances in March, and he’s doing another one via Veeps this week. He recently announced his Summer Solstice tour that begins in June, so this is a good way to kick it off.

Billy Strings Preps for Tour: Tune in at 6 p.m. PT on Friday, May 28, via Veeps.
