58-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Washington Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 12, 2022) – Saturday, Billy Phillips was killed in a pedestrian accident on Las Vegas Boulevard.

First responders arrived to the intersection of North Las Vegas Boulevard and East Washington Avenue, on December 1st.

According to reports, Phillips was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when the driver of a 2006 Nissan Ultima struck him.

Responding officers rushed the injured victim to University Medical Center in serious condition. There, 58-year-old Billy Phillips was pronounced dead at the hospital on Saturday.

During cleanup and preliminary duties, the 44-year-old driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the fatal accident is still currently in progress.
