Truck Driver Injured in Semi-Truck Accident near Kellogg Drive

POMONA, CA (March 16, 2022) – Saturday morning, a fiery truck collision on 10 Freeway sent at least one person to the hospital.

The crash happened around 6:00 a.m., on March 5. Crews responded to the scene in the eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway near Kellogg Drive.

According to reports, a semi-truck transporting soda collided with two other vehicles for reasons unknown. The collision caused the semi-truck to flip and burst into flames.

Officials also stated that Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke cans littered the freeway after the crash.

Emergency workers arrived and extricated the truck driver, who had become trapped inside the vehicle. Medics then transported the driver to a local hospital for further treatment.

Moreover, officers closed the surrounding area for several hours to give way for the clearing operations.

At this time, Pomona police continue to investigate the semi-truck collision.
