One Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Hit-and-Run Accident near Peckham Lane

RENO, NV (March 20, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, one bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Airway Drive.

Authorities responded to the scene around 3:00 a.m., near Peckman Lane on February 23rd.

First responders located an unconscious victim and a damaged bicycle on the road. Per reports, the driver of an eastbound vehicle struck the cyclist and immediately fled the scene.

Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Meanwhile, the suspect driver remains at large.
