Hit-and-Run Collision near Figueroa Street Left Bicyclist Killed

SANTA ANA, CA (February 25, 2022) – Monday evening, a bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident near 1st Street.

According to reports, the collision occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. near the intersection of West 1st Street and North Figueroa Street.

Upon arrival, officers located a a male adult down on the road that was riding a yellow bicycle. Eventually, the bicyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite the life-saving efforts of the responders.

The driver of a red Kia sedan immediately fled the scene after striking the bicyclist. Although, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.

At this time, Santa Ana Officials are still currently working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
