Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident near Mile Marker 43

BOULDER CITY, NV (December 14, 2022) – Monday morning, an unidentified bicyclist was hospitalized following a hit-and-run on US 95.

Police responded to the scene around 8:45 a.m., near mile marker 43 after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the cyclist and immediately fled the scene without contacting authorities.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the bicyclist to a nearby hospital for further treatment. At this time, the name and current condition of the injured victim have not been released.

Moreover, police found debris from a maroon/burgundy colored semi-truck at the scene. A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Officials then urge anyone who has seen a maroon/burgundy semi-truck with front damage to call Boulder City Police at 702-486-4100. An active investigation is still underway and updates will be posted as soon as they become available.
