33-Year-Old Woman Badly Hurt after Bicycle Crash on Woolsey Street

BERKELEY, CA (October 25, 2022) – Monday night, a hit-and-run bicycle crash on Shattuck Avenue left a woman injured

The incident happened on October 17th, at around 8:40 p.m. near the intersecction of Shattuck Avenue and Woolsey Street.

According to reports, the woman was riding her bicycle northbound along Shattuck Avenue when she stopped to make a left turn. A vehicle, also traveling northbound, struck her from behind, leaving the bicyclist with serious injuries. The driver then left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Emergency crews arrived to the site of the collision shortly after and transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Meanwhile, the bicyclist has identified the vehicle as a white sedan. Any witnesses to the hit-and-run on Shattuck Avenue are encouraged to contact the Berkeley police.
