Another week, another hit-and-run death investigation in the city of Los Angeles. This time 38-year-old Victor Awad, a resident of Canoga Park was fatally struck as he rode his bike in Chatsworth, police said.
Now cops are hoping you'll help them track down the driver:
It happened Monday at 9 p.m. when Awad was cycling west on Plummer Street at Winnetka Avenue, cops said.
A silver convertible Mustang headed north on Winnetka hit the rider, police said in a statement, and “sped away.”
Awad was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead soon after, according to the LAPD.
There was no description of the driver, but if you see a silver convertible Mustang, particularly one with front-end damage, detectives would love to hear from you: 818-644-8115.
