22-Year-Old Cyclist Hit and Hurt by Vehicle on E Ave and Olive Street

Hesperia, CA (March 30, 2021)  Bicyclist Derrianna Daniels sustained moderate injuries in a crash on E Avenue, Friday afternoon on March 19.

According to the police, the incident happened at about 1:00 PM. For reasons still under investigation, a bicycle and a vehicle collided at the intersection of E Avenue and Olive Lane.

According to preliminary reports, Laura Byrd was traveling westbound on Olive Street into the intersection while Daniels was riding northbound on E Avenue on the southbound side of traffic.

Emergency crews airlifted the cyclist to a hospital with moderate injuries. Updates on the victim’s current condition remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities reported no other injuries.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is underway.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Deputy S. Lopiccolo from the Hesperia Station at 760-947-1500.
