29-Year-Old Killed in Rollover Crash in Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area

BRAWLEY, CA (April 20, 2022) – Friday afternoon, Bianglang Li was involved in a crash in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area.

According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened shortly after 1:00 p.m. on April 15th, involving a 2022 CanAm Maverick UTV.

Furthermore, driven by 25-year-old Li of Los Angeles, the UTV was heading south along the side of a dune when it overturned and crashed down the hill.

Moreover, police said a 29-year-old male passenger from Walnut California, was ejected and and killed in the collision.

His name remains withheld as of this time, pending notification of the family.

Meanwhile, Li and the two other passengers remained uninjured according to reports.

Per the initial investigation, police said all individuals were wearing the proper safety equipment except for the victim.

The crash remains under active investigation at this time, more information will be posted as it becomes available to the public.
