Woman, Child Fatally Struck in Tandem Bicycle Accident near Jackpot

JACKPOT, NV (July 8, 2022) – 38-year-old Beth Ann Huey and 1-year-old Paul Zebulun Huey died Monday in a bicycle collision on Highway 93.

The incident happened around 8:20 a.m., on the 4th of July. Emergency crews responded to the scene on the northbound lanes of the highway just north of Jackpot.

For reasons under investigation, the 39-year-old male driver of a northbound 2013 Infiniti struck four victims from behind. Police described the victims as a 41-year-old male, a 38-year-old female, and two juveniles.

Despite life-saving attempts, officials declared both Beth and Paul dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet identified the other victims.

Moreover, crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, officers have not provided any further information regarding the collision.
