Though downtown sees its share of moonlit warehouse parties, event producer Andres Rigal's summertime monthly daytime party Summertramp gives us a worthy reason to drag ourselves out of bed and head to the “beach” in the industrial district. Party kids and drag queens dressed in swimsuits and crazy costumes flock to this pansexual pool party, where the line to buy tickets becomes unruly by 2 p.m. Once past the gate, the scene is a pride-themed water park that boasts an above-ground pool, guest DJs and the party's focal point, a massive waterslide. The whole thing, held the last Sunday of the month, takes place on Tony's Bar parking lot, but you'd never guess — the floor is covered in soaking wet AstroTurf, while overhead, huge confetti-like alphabet letters spell out the party's name. Along with three full bars, you can buy pizza, ice cream or a spray tan — or just take a few free Jell-O shots. 2017 E. Seventh St., dwntwn. facebook.com/summertramp.
