Picture the scene: It's Saturday night. Hottest threads, check. Perfectly coifed hair, check. Waiting on the besties to come over and slam a few pre-drinks before ridesharing to the flyest new club, check. But that's not your scene. That's some young fool who's missing the best time to be out on the town in L.A., which is early. Not 9 p.m. early — twilight early. Why, you ask, would anyone hit the coolest nightclubs before it's even really night? Because there's no line to get in, probably no cover, no 'bows being thrown at the bar, and quite possibly cheaper drinks. You might actually get a seat, and your requests are first in line with the DJ. By the time midnight hits and the scenesters take over, you've had hours worth of fun, and you can get home and in bed before Uber's surge prices hit. Sound like grandma kind of fun to you? Just try it. You'll be a convert. Or don't. The fewer people crowding up our early-bird bars, the better. —Ali Trachta
