Tights are back. And because Forever 21's limited selection won't be enough to put you ahead of the trend, you owe yourself a trip to downtown's Fashion District, a wondrous land of bejeweled undergarments and quinceañera crowns. On the northwestern end, inside a big pink building stamped in girly Bewitched font, waits a catalog of every color, stripe and lace ever known to leg fashion. Beverly Hills Hosiery, which bears no relation to its namesake city, is most often recognized for a sweeping selection of cheap yet high-quality lingerie, slutty Halloween costumes and stripper shoes. But we love it best for its tights — old-fashioned ones with back seams, sheer work stockings in every color of the rainbow, and enough fishnets to feed a small village. They're all lined up and labeled like records in a record store, while '90s lingerie girls plaster the walls like rock stars. 801 S. Los Angeles St., dwntwn.
