Launched by actress Nancy Linehan Charles, Salty Shakespeare is a stage-less, brick-and-mortar–less theater group made of about 20 very brave actors who perform various scenes and sonnets in large, unsuspecting crowds. Don't expect to spot them at your local Jamba Juice in flamboyant Elizabethan threads. The actors are disguised as one of you, until they break out in dramatic verses either in English, Spanish or, yes, even rap. The company is also the best thing to happen to corporate parties since the portable karaoke machine. For a reasonable price, its members will put together a flash mob prepared to deliver the perfectly relevant and provocative Shakespeare scene that will give your motivational speaker a run for his or her money. They've even been hired by colleges to complement an otherwise dry lesson of Henry VIII. —Orly Minazad
