Often overlooked by Sunday morning bargain hunters, Pasadena City College’s gem of a flea market is likely to yield just as much booty — and half as much claustrophobia — as its behemoth cousin at the Rose Bowl. Lay out $2 for parking and lose yourself in accessibly priced vintage clothing, cuckoo clocks, sepia-tinted postcards, ancient comics, creepy rag dolls, dreary antiques and lots of vinyl, much of it in a covered parking structure that offers porcelain-skinned shoppers respite from the sun. Vinyl collectors should head for level 3 of the Bonnie Street parking structure (Lot 5), where they’ll find more than 50 music vendors selling records, used CDs and DVDs. And insiders swear the tamales on-campus are a must. First Sunday of the month, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. (626) 585-7906, pasadena.edu/fleamarket. —Caroline Ryder
