Though it's usually best to avoid the madness of Hollywood altogether, if you must go, you'll at least want to avoid typical Hollywood drink prices. The solution? A pit stop at Dillon's Irish Pub. A restaurant and bar located on two floors, Dillon's has a pool table, bosomy bartenders in Catholic schoolgirl uniforms and an impressive variety of incredibly cheap beers. Of its 33 drafts, the vast majority are $3 all the time, including Guinness and Racer 5 pints. (Tallboys are $5.) You also can get well drinks for $5. If that doesn't convince you, the $1 oysters should. As an added bonus, it has a (typically affordable) valet, and it's near the Hollywood/Vine Red Line station, which makes the spot perfect for getting a drink or two before going on your merry way. 6263 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.
