You can shake your booty alongside dancers from your favorite music videos at Crunch in West Hollywood. Veteran L.A. choreographer and former Miss Fitness America MaDonna Grimes, who may have been a drill sergeant in a past life, brings her sweat-inducing hip-hop dance classes to the Sunset Boulevard gym, where she regularly draws a crowd of sculpted dance pros and novices who want to look and move like Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. Grimes’ class isn’t for the rhythm-challenged, or for weenies: The music is loud and the routines are challenging. But after the hourlong class and her 30-minute “washboard abs” class that follows it, even a wannabe dancer with two left feet emerges sweaty, smiling and — at least some of us — thinking of getting a quick drink to ease the pain. Luckily, there are plenty of bars along the Strip. Newcomers can get a free weeklong pass to try the newly remodeled gym, which also offers yoga, spinning, Pilates and weights. 8000 Sunset Blvd., W.
