It might be a cliche to point out that Pizzeria Mozza is the best pizzeria in town, but that doesn't make it any less true. Nancy Silverton's insanely popular pizza operation continues to turn out food of stunning quality, from the ultra-fresh salads and antipasti to the soulful daily specials to the glorious, seasonal desserts. And yes, the slightly unorthodox pizza with its crackly crust and toppings like squash blossoms and burrata or rapini, anchovies, olives and chiles, are still some of the most compelling pies in town. Taken all together — and even though it might be obvious to say so — this is still the upscale pizzeria dreams are made of. 641 N. Highland Ave., Hlywd.
