Another one of Sean Carlson's outstanding FYF Fests has come and gone, and all that is left is the memory of sunburns, ice cream sandwiches, and sonic anarchy. The Los Angeles State Park (a.k.a., the park formerly known as “the cornfield”) was a-poppin' with pre- and post-pubescent music fiends ravenously devouring the sonic snacks served up by Converge, No Age, and a Voltron-esque collaboration between Brooklyn's Ninjasonik and Japanther. Although Dan Deacon was M.I.A. (not Arulpragasam), the line was longer than fifteen Falcors and Lightning Bolt was almost shut down due to serious crowd antics, the Fest went off with out a hitch. And we all know how much hitches suck. So as an homage to FYF Fest's best memories, West Coast Sounds presents: FYF Fest: A Yearbook.
