If you want Calder, Oldenberg, Warhol, Lichtenstein and other icons, the medical center to the stars, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, is the place to go. Problem is, you might have to break a leg to get into the show or have a friend who's been assigned a room. That's because most of the good stuff is located on walls in patient-care areas, thanks to a Cedars mantra: “We believe in the healing power of art.” All of the art is donated and on permanent display. But you don't have to have surgery to get a glimpse of noteworthy artists like Vasa at the admitting desk or a Warhol print near the microwave oven in the blood donor unit. Stop by and give a pint. Small price for admission. 8700 Beverly Blvd., Mid-City. (310) 423-3277, cedars-sinai.edu.
