Das Bunker is more than a dance club, it's purgatory. Walk into this dark world and you will encounter dancing demons, vampy vixens and, most shockingly, regulars who are as friendly as they are fiendish-looking. The long-running industrial party (15 years!) packs the expansive Mid-City club space Catch One weekly, with guest DJs spinning the loudest, heaviest power noise and old-school industrial sounds in three separate areas. Black is the sartorial color of choice here, but the styles include multicolored dreadlocks, goggles, stacked boots and fishnets. Sure, monster makeup and blood are used as accessories, but don't let them scare you away. When they're not assaulting the dance floor to the strains of acts like Front 242, Ministry and God Module, regulars convene on the much quieter outdoor patio. You should feel more than welcome to chat with them, whether or not you're wearing electrical tape pasties. 4067 W. Pico Blvd., Mid-City. (323) 737-1159, dasbunker.org.
