First Meltdown Comics filled your brain with all things nerdy, geeky and sci-fi-y, and now it's putting that knowledge to good use. The first Trivia Meltdown will utilize live performances, AV gadgetry and traditional pen and paper to deliver 10 rounds of 10 questions concerning such topics as comic books, film, music, television, literature, drugs and comedy. Special guests like Paul “The King of TV” Goebel, the band Elemenopy and Grammy-winning producer and Stand Up! Records owner Dan Schlissel will be on hand, as will the Nom Nom Truck (The Travel Channel's Food Truck Wars) and plenty of free beer. Prizes include comedy club tickets, albums courtesy of Stand Up! Records, T-shirts, stickers, Meltdown gift certificates and more. Tickets ($12 individual, $50 for a team of five, $5 for spectators) available for those 21 and over at BrownPaperTickets.com.
