Nestled in a residential, tree-lined Culver City neighborhood, Livingreen is the Tiffany's of home design and raw building materials — only it's green, sustainable and healthy. Half of the Zenlike store is filled with gorgeous handmade furniture featuring recycled materials, as well as organic-cotton bedding, energy-efficient lighting and nursery accessories with nontoxic finishes. The stuffed toy animals are made from recycled sweaters. The other half of the store is devoted to items such as low-flow toilets, solar water heaters and nontoxic cleaning supplies, as well as tiles made from plant-based materials, and bamboo flooring. To make sure customers know exactly what they're getting and how eco-friendly it is, Livingreen has its own “Shades of Green” rating system, which takes into account what each product is made of, how far it traveled and how it affects your health. 10000 Culver Blvd., Culver City.
