“Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Hot for Teacher,” “You Shook Me all Night Long”… Rock ’n’ roll and strip clubs have always had a symbiotic connection. So when infamous Hollywood bikini bar Crazy Girls started showcasing live rock bands on stage for its Rockabye Wednesdays, it was a no-brainer. The acts are always gritty and loud (Angus Khan, The Morlocks, Butcher Babies) and host Sergio Love hypes up the crowds between sets. Gotta love the cheesy decor here: mirrored walls, neon lights, sparkly curtains and, of course, stripper poles, around which the bands set up their gear. It’s a bikini bar (no nudity), so even on non-rock nights, the vibe is fairly unintimidating (they do have the requisite private room and grind-a-lot lap dances, though). The gals here move to the usual sound track of classic rock, hip-hop and pop every other night, but Wednesdays, the power of live riffs and drumbeats seem to have an almost tribal effect on the ladies, or maybe it’s just the swagger of crooning rock dudes/chicks prancing on stage with them. Either way, be assured, Rockabye offers the sexiest live-music hump night in Hollywood, hands down. 1433 N. La Brea Ave., Hlwyd. (323) 969-0338. —Lina Lecaro
