Reserve L.A. is as much about culture as clothing. First and foremost, it serves as the flagship store for the clothing lines Fresh Jive and Warriors of Radness, the latter of which was nominated America's best new menswear designer of 2011 by GQ. These two brands represent the yin and yang of Los Angeles: Fresh Jive features going-out wear appropriate for the city, while Warriors of Radness is more appropriate for taking your board to the beach. But again, it's not just about the duds. You can find vintage magazines, books and records and other cultural accessories to go with your new look. In fact, Reserve L.A. even offers custom soundtracks for its styles; its website boasts a series of downloadable MP3 radio shows featuring everything from jazz to Western swing. Makes sense because, sure, the clothes may make the man, but nowadays said man is expected to be culturally conversant as well. 420 N. Fairfax Ave., W. Hlywd. (323) 651-0131, reservela.net.
