The back room of Meltdown Comics has long been the coolest place in town to catch live comedy, but the Nerdmelt Showroom has increasingly become the most revolutionary as well. In addition to programming stand-up, sketch, improv, panels, screenings, readings and every experimental format in between, the space is home to Chris Hardwick's Nerdist Industries, a podcast/video/etc., network showcasing the output of Peter Holmes, T.J. Miller, Todd Glass and Neil Patrick Harris; the Set List show of improvised stand-up; and even astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Let's certainly not forget Wednesday flagship show The Meltdown with Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani, which Comedy Central is turning into a televised series. 7522 Sunset Blvd., Hlywd.
