Ah, the first-world conundrum of choosing a nail salon: Go with something high-end sure to have choice colors and expert service? Or double down on a cheaper spot and risk chips, cuts or worse? Leann Nail Salon is the rare inexpensive option that's consistently worth the bet. For around $25, they'll trim and shape finger- and toenails into something more respectable than the talons presented to them before the latest shades of Essie or O.P.I. (or, for high rollers willing to pay $10 extra, gels). Great, but does the manicure last? Well, our most recent experiment with the basic service gave us a result that survived a weekend of traveling, wedding festivities and humidity before beginning to show wear on day six. 7466 Beverly Blvd, Mid-City.
