Hollywood's edgiest brave ugly, gritty Lincoln Boulevard for a cameo at Whole Foods Venice, the chain's least gentrified L.A. location — where a fringe crowd of beach bums and circus freaks, and the occasional gang shooting out back, adds a pinch of street cred to Lindsey and Scarlett's shopping circuits. The upscale grocery is likewise popular with actor's actors (Tim Robbins), industry moguls (Magic Johnson) and stand-up comedy's most recognizable (Demetri Martin). Aside from all the household names, the place is crawling with Venice's own small-town neighborhood celebs, hot and funky people who wear their 90291 mailing addresses like VIP passes to the land of kombucha. Even the resident hobos have flair. See and be seen at the in-store wine bar (yes, wine bar) or watch the store's infamous parking wars from front-row patio seats. As a certain viral YouTube star rapped last summer at this very location: “Yo it's about to get real in the Whole Foods parking lot.” As real as the Westside gets, anyway. 225 Lincoln Blvd., Venice. (310) 566-9480, wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/venice.
