If you can tear yourself away from this monster of a Best of L.A. issue, it's worth leaving the house for Streep-Tease, a show of famous Meryl Streep movie monologues read by men. Many men, at that. Taylor Negron brings down the house as Sophie Zawistowski in Sophie's Choice; Roy Cruz does Miranda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada; Steve Hasley does Francesca Johnson in The Bridges of Madison County; Sam Pancake does Suzanne Vale in Postcards From The Edge; and Trent Walker does Karen Silkwood in Silkwood. Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?
