Eating with one's hands can be messy, but it's also extremely sultry, especially when you're sitting on satin pillows and a voluptuous torso is undulating in front of you. Of course, sheiks and the gals from the last Sex and the City movie know what that's like, but if you don't plan to make the all-day flight to an Arabian land any time soon, Dar Maghreb is your best bet. This gorgeous Hollywood restaurant is somewhat nondescript from the outside, but inside, it's a marvel. Carved archways and ornate details (modeled after the Alhambra of Granada) abound, leading to private rooms, carpeted floor seating and a bounteous feast of authentic sweet and savory dishes served in bowls for sharing sans utensils (they have 'em if you really need 'em, though). For about $37 a head you're given a copious food spread and nonstop, eye-catching entertainment: a diverse troupe of festively frocked belly dancers providing seductive movements throughout the palatial quarters. From date nights to family fetes, if you're looking for a novelty spot, your wish is Dar Maghreb's command. 7651 Sunset Blvd., Hlywd. (323) 876-7651, darmaghrebrestaurant.com. —Lina Lecaro
