The Observation Bar and Art Deco Lounge at the Queen Mary is the coolest spot around to hear live music, no matter who's playing. Sure, the lineup of jazz, blues, Latin and Top 40 bands isn't bad, but it's hard to give your complete attention when you're enjoying drinks from the Queen Mary's 1951 cocktail menu and eating appetizers in a 1930s art deco setting. Formerly known as the First-Class Lounge, the Observation Bar includes original artwork, torchiere lamps, deco tables and chairs and a spectacular view of the Long Beach waterfront. With this amazing backdrop, it's no wonder the Observation Bar attracts a sophisticated crowd that keeps it all the way classy. —Ryan Ritchie
