If you trip over your own feet at the mere thought of attempting a waltz or foxtrot, Ballroom Blitz will cure your chorophobia (fear of dancing — seriously, that's a thing) in no time. Since 2004, married team Susannah and Anthony Cuesta have choreographed countless wedding first dances and led hundreds of workshops out of their spacious Eagle Rock studio, teaching proper technique and new moves to beginners and veteran hoofers alike. Susannah, a former competition dancer who has taught for almost 30 years, leads the group classes with wit, charm and an oversized personality, while the reassuringly low-key Anthony specializes in private lessons for nervous soon-to-be-newlyweds. After just six “Adult Basic 101” classes, you'll know the steps (and correct posture — Susannah's a stickler for it) for swing, salsa, waltz, tango and foxtrot — and maybe meet a new dance partner in the process, as the studio is popular with local singles.
