This cavernous space, located in a former kung fu theater in Chinatown, might just be the city's most dynamic arts venue, with its unpredictable mix of art exhibitions, performance events, film screenings, concerts and readings. During the recent Olympic Games, Human Resources hosted a late-night live-streaming of TV coverage accompanied by improvised musical soundtracks and Foley effects provided by local artists including Lucky Dragons and Corey Fogel. Guests, who picnicked in the gallery with blankets and pillows through the wee hours, called the event “trippy” and “sublime.” The website and email notices are sometimes unreliable, so be sure to “like” Human Resources on Facebook in order to get notifications of its quirky, often last-minute events. 410 Cottage Home St., Chinatown.
