Bertha Nunez Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Firestone Boulevard
NORWALK, CA (August 12, 2021) – 75-year-old Bertha Nunez died Sunday morning after a deadly pedestrian crash on Firestone Boulevard in Norwalk.
The accident happened right after 8:00 a.m., August 8, on Pioneer and Firestone Boulevard. Officers arrived to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, the driver of a white GMC Savana 3500 van pulled out of a parking lot and struck Nunez.
In addition, the driver fled the scene following the impact. However, he returned a few moments later, but failed to notify deputies that he was the driver.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced Nunez dead at the scene, due to the extend of her injuries.
