60-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Auto Accident near Colorado Road

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (August 23, 2023) – Sunday morning, Bert Wilhelm Simons was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Chino Drive. Authorities responded to the scene around 10:15 a.m., near Colorado Road on August 13th. At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a truck and an SUV collided in the area. In addition, a power pole was knocked down. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 60-year-old Simmons, of Golden Valley dead at the scene. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
